2021 Common Era

Spanning over a couple of years, the Humanoid Misfits series was a very personal project that explored various phases and moments of my life as a young adult. At present, it is a sold-out collection on the OpenSea marketplace, with unique owners around the globe and multiple features by the OpenSea platform itself. The fragile and vulnerable nature of the works, along with their loud coloration, led to the series resonating with many people across international platforms. Rendered in ink and graphite, all works are handmade, exploring themes of anxiety, social stress, anger, vengeance, gluttony, satisfaction, and a wide range of unique emotions. The pieces are known for their characteristic use of flat blacks for hair, graphic usage of contrast and color, as well as their stark melancholic subjects. This distinct style contributed to the series' widespread appeal, as viewers found themselves reflecting on their own experiences through the evocative imagery. The Humanoid Misfits series stands out not only for its artistic quality but also for its emotional depth. Each piece tells a story, capturing a moment of intense personal introspection. This powerful combination of raw emotional expression and distinctive visual style has established the series as a significant and memorable body of work within my repertoire as an illustrator. The collection continues to engage and inspire a diverse audience and would be what I call my stepping stone into a platform of international creatives and art enthusiasts.
